Unless you are a plumber who is licensed to install or repair gas and propane lines, you should never attempt working with gas. 

Gas leaks can be deadly.  If you smell gas, leave the premises without turning on or off lights which could cause a spark.  As soon as you are safely outside, call the fire department immediately and then call Smart Plumbing & Septic.
